Early Life & Family Background

Namiko Love Browner, born on November 19th, 2008 in Los Angeles, California, is the daughter of renowned R&B singers O’Ryan and Jhené Aiko.

Her mother Jhené is the result of a unique mix of her Japanese, Spanish, Dominican, and African-American roots and her father’s Native American, German, and Jewish heritage.

In addition to her parents, Namiko’s family includes her uncle, R&B star Omarion. She has two maternal aunts, Miyoko and Jamila, who formed an R&B group known as Gyrl.

Namiko’s mother composed a song called For My Brother as a tribute to her maternal uncle, Miyagi Cholombo, who died of brain cancer on July 19, 2012.

It is obvious from Jhene’s posts on social media that Namiko has begun her studies in high school, though there are no online accounts of her education.

On her daughter’s birthday, Jhene expressed her feelings by writing an emotional message and providing her followers with pictures from when Namiko attended her final year of elementary school before moving on to middle school when she was 11, in June 2020. It is typical for 14 to 15-year-old kids to begin their high school in the US.

Namiko Love Browner’s Parents

In 2004, O’Ryan and her mother, Jhene, collaborated on his first video, Take It Slow. The two then started dating from 2005 to 2008.

After putting her music career on pause to attend college, her mother became pregnant with Namiko and had to leave school. They never revealed why their relationship ended, but they still remain friends.

In 2016, Jhené Aiko and American rapper Big Sean (real name Sean Michael Leonard Anderson) began their relationship. On 8 November 2022, they were blessed with a son, Noah Hasani.

Namiko shares a great bond with her step-father, Big Sean. Big Sean wished Namiko a happy 14th birthday on his Instagram story with the caption,

“Love you Nami! You’re one of the smartest, coolest people on ????!” “My anime plug and newly big sis! This world is a much better place with you in it! Big 14!”

Jhené Aiko also shared a post on social media where she described her as an “animal-loving, actress, anime expert, rockstar, skater girl, and artist.”

Since Namiko Love Browner came into the world in 2008, her life has been in the public eye due to her celebrity parents. In fact, the same year she arrived, her parent’s split was the talk of the tabloids.

Despite the fact that her parents were separated, they both joined to mark her 5th birthday in 2013. Her mother has proudly celebrated all of her accomplishments on social media as she’s been growing up.

At the tender age of five, Namiko Love Browner made a cameo in her mother’s first studio album, Souled Out, featured in the music video for the song The Pressure on September 2, 2014.

The following year in April, she featured in the music video for a track from the album, Eternal Sunshine. In 2017, she and her mother released the tender ballad titled Sing to Me for the mother’s album, Trip, on September 22. The duet expresses their deep love for each other.

Namiko’s mother said that she revels in being on the microphone, and that recording the song was a remarkable experience for her.

She demonstrated to her daughter how to breathe and work out her notes. Comparable to the song, she also gave her daughter credit for being the one who brings her “back to reality.”
